BINALONG RECREATION GROUNDS

Public BBQ

This free riverside camping area offers generous parking and plenty of shady trees for setting up. The facilities include toilets, showers (with hot water according to some visitors, though others report cold water only), a sink, changing room, and electricity. A donation box is available on-site. The playground makes it suitable for families traveling with children. However, maintenance appears inconsistent - while some find the facilities clean, others have encountered overflowing bins and poorly maintained amenities. It's worth noting there's some confusion about camping permissions, with Yass Valley Council reportedly stating that camping is not officially permitted at these grounds despite the donation box and facilities suggesting otherwise. The spot works well for overnight stops, though experiences vary depending on the current state of upkeep.
